Care4KidsNow is a student-led nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children from all backgrounds to explore STEM and healthcare through free, hands-on educational experiences. By removing financial barriers and making learning interactive, the organization helps spark early curiosity about medicine and science.
Founded by Kamila Lickunas after navigating her own medical challenges, Care4KidsNow grew from a simple idea: make health education fun, accessible, and memorable. Those experiences reshaped how she viewed access to health knowledge and inspired her to create programs that meet children where they are—through creativity, play, and exploration.
Today, alongside a growing network of student volunteers and chapters in 4 states, Care4KidsNow leads engaging workshops that bring health topics to life. Signature activities include Play-Doh organ-system kits, kid-friendly educational pamphlets, and holiday-themed sessions that turn learning into something exciting and approachable.
Through every workshop and resource, Care4KidsNow stays focused on one goal: empowering young learners with foundational health knowledge and inspiring the next generation of future innovators in medicine.
